This is a volcanic caldera with hot springs, which explains the lack of snow and ice.
Peter provides both a wealth of knowledge and lots of enthusiasm. With a particular interest in lower impact tourism, his approach will appeal to those who want to stay AWAY from the crowds, and seek out truly unique experiences.
